Monthly Meetings
The Society meets at 7:30pm on the second Thursday of each month at the Safe Schools Institute located at 1790 NW Spanish River Blvd, Boca Raton, FL 33433.
All orchid lovers are welcome to attend our meetings, check out what is happening and meet our members. Everyone is welcome, no experience necessary – just an appreciation of the fantastic variety of the world of orchids and a desire to learn more!

Presenter: Mac Rivenbark
Mac Rivenbark and his wife Helen are the owners of Mac’s Orchids which specializes in orchid species from the Philippines. They have had their business for many years and grow over 200 different species. After many fascinating trips to the Philippines and extensive study, Mac has become an expert on orchids from the Philippines.
He and his wife, Helen, make frequent trips to the Philippines where they see many dens growing in situ. His talks are always informative and entertaining and we are glad to welcome him back.
Mac is a past president of Fort Lauderdale Orchid Society and has served as auctioneer at many a FLOS Auction.
Our mission is to promote the education, appreciation, and cultivation of orchids.
The goals of our society are:
To promote education on all aspects of orchid culture.
To support a scholarship at Florida Atlantic University.
To provide ongoing support for the American Orchid Society
To share our enjoyment of this most wonderful hobby.
Our Orchid Society
The Boca Raton Orchid Society began in 1989 with just 27 members. Since then, the Society has grown tremendously and now has a membership of more than 140 members. Our subtropical climate is perfect for growing an astounding variety of warm to intermediate temperature orchids in Palm Beach County. Each year our members enjoy several fun-filled orchid events, including an Awards meeting in December and the highlight event, our Annual Valentines Show & Sale scheduled for February 10 - 11, 2024.
